Mr. Debus is well-known and widely recognized as one of Arizona's most formidable trial lawyers. Throughout his 40 plus years of practice he has handled many of Arizona's most famous cases. Mr. Debus's professional recognitions include: listed for 33 years in Best Lawyers of America; recognized in the Arizona Republic's Best Lawyers of Arizona and Phoenix Magazine’s Best Lawyers of Phoenix; and profiled in Phoenix Magazine as “The Go To Guy.” His clients range from Glenn Campbell to the “Trunk Murderess” Winnie Ruth Judd, and many professional athletes. He has presented to Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Arizona State Bar seminars, Kansas State Lawyer’s Association and others. As a Phoenix Police detective, Mr. Debus was one of the investigators who interrogated Ernesto Miranda. Mr. Debus has crossed the Pacific, Mediterranean and sailed much of the Caribbean in small sailing yachts.
